Is it okay to verify the code online? [on hold]

There are lot of online tools, such as CodeBeautify. But as an employee of an organisation, is it good to upload the source code and verify the same online?

When I spoke to my leads, I've been informed that I shouldn't do it and it may lead to lose the propriety of code and also can lead to some escalation by customer.

And I already know Eclipse, Netbeans has many plugins to verify and validate the code. But CodeBeautify is awesome and very helpful.

Is it a myth or reality that, if someone can see my code or propriety issues can occur or customer can escalate (How do they even know we have used some online tools to verify the code in first place..!!)?

As a junior developer, my question is: Is it okay to verify the code online?
