Using variable in string text. Hexadecimal system

I have constans variable like : A=10, B=11, C=12, D=13, E=14, F=15. I would like to add written two number in hexadecimal system. When I get last letter from string (ex. "43251A") I want this "A" was 10. How can I do this ?
