We are porting a RAM consuming application to a smaller microcontroller that internally has 256K of SRAM. This is by far not enough for even parts of the application mentioned before. Thus we are thinking about adding SDRAM to the µC. Before the actual prototype is going to be produced I wanted to demonstrate the power of having more RAM with this controller. I have a development board with a color LCD (15Bit RGB) and 8MB of RAM.
Please note that we are limited to 2MB of Flash. I thought about loading images, generating several perlin noise patterns or even decoding a small mpeg2 clip. Is there anything else I can think of as a RAM consuming feature that I could easily demonstrate?
