Oracle Java SE 8 Programmer certification, can I do only the exame without the training course?

I am a Java Developer and I am interested to start the Oracle Java Certification path starting from the first Java SE 8 Programmer, this one: http://ift.tt/1v93BJI

I see that the exam cost 193 €. I can't understand if there is also a mandatory course or if I can study by myself and then do the exame withoud spend more money ?
