I am designing a software to manage some of my application that are available in amazon ec2, digital ocean. To design such a system, i have gone through different types of softwares and their working.
To design i got two Approaches: Push the whole Management Software into the Server, and then manage it (Like cPanel) Push an agent into the Server, and then manage it from outside (Like ServerPilot.IO)
Which approach is good, and secure? Do we have any other way for doing it? mainly my concerns are if i design like full management into server, then every update requires to be pushed, if i design like small agent response from the server to a centralized system, then i need to secure the connection to agent as messages go through internet.
