How can software support issues recorded by the Technical support team help in improving your code?


I am trying to research and analyze the technical support issues that are recorded by our technical support team for my project. The purpose is to understand the issues in the current code implementation and improve it.


The problem is that the issues are not always about problematic code. It could be limited knowledge of the user about the product or the standards based on which it is implemented etc.


So, my general question is how can study of software technical support issues help in improving the software/documentation/QA better?
