Though I didn't get my degree in Comp Sci, I studied in Finance (BA) and Economics (MS) and have picked up programming as a hobby that I'd really like to incorporate in my career. My initial thought for a career in tech was Data Science but I do enjoy the pragmatic approach to software development.
I'm looking for internships that allow me to learn how to apply my current knowledge in Python (I think I'm somewhere in between beginner and intermediate).
I currently can't leave my current position and finding a position that allows me to grow as a computer scientist but utilizing my educational background has shown to be slim pickings (though I'm finding more and more).
Can I balance a part-time internship as a programmer?
