I'm going to organize programmers training courses in the my university for students. But, I can't decide, what language to choose: C++ or C#.
I know, that question is quite holywar: every language have pro and con, have specific area of use and stuff. I do not want to decide, which language is better.
Question may be viewed from next points:
- Imagine yourself in place of a student, who knows nothing (even, what he wants). From the top of your today experience, what choice would you make? Who do you want to become, C++ programmer of C# programmer? Which programmer's life is looks like, which is better? How it depends on character of programmer? Give some subjective arguments.
- What programmers are more required by software industry? How difficult to find C++ programmer, and how difficult C#? Give some personal experience, or refs to investigations.
- How do you estimate (from ethic point of view) the tasks, for which every language is using? What programmers are more useful for the society? Give some philosophy there.
- Some another arguments to make more C++ or C# programmers.
Question addressed to professional programmers, who knows both languages, knows other professional programmers of both languages, and have a common view to all software industry.
p.s. do not say, that there is no difference; I know, that there is no simple unambiguous answer; just give some objective arguments and your way subjective opinion.
