Train programmers: C++ or C#?

I'm going to organize programmers training courses in the my university for students. But, I can't decide, what language to choose: C++ or C#.

I know, that question is quite holywar: every language have pro and con, have specific area of use and stuff. I do not want to decide, which language is better.

Question may be viewed from next points:

  1. Imagine yourself in place of a student, who knows nothing (even, what he wants). From the top of your today experience, what choice would you make? Who do you want to become, C++ programmer of C# programmer? Which programmer's life is looks like, which is better? How it depends on character of programmer? Give some subjective arguments.

  2. What programmers are more required by software industry? How difficult to find C++ programmer, and how difficult C#? Give some personal experience, or refs to investigations.

  3. How do you estimate (from ethic point of view) the tasks, for which every language is using? What programmers are more useful for the society? Give some philosophy there.

  4. Some another arguments to make more C++ or C# programmers.

Question addressed to professional programmers, who knows both languages, knows other professional programmers of both languages, and have a common view to all software industry.

p.s. do not say, that there is no difference; I know, that there is no simple unambiguous answer; just give some objective arguments and your way subjective opinion.
