The use case that I have is the following: - Using her browser on a desktop or a mobile device, 1. a user enters her credentials to authenticate (Any auth will do) 2. the user is offered a simple dialog to set a numeric value (in this case: What is the wait time till your box opens (minutes)? Please enter and press "ok".) - Using a Java API, I need to read the entered value from a device with network access.
I do not want to set up my own server. I have 1 hour available to create a nice user dialog (alternatively agree on a convention using an existing service like an entry in the users calendar.google.com) I have 1 hour available for programming and unit testing the Java needed to retrieve the users wait time value. I do not really want the authentication step, so any halfway secure access will be fine. I would be happy to reuse social media. I am also thinking of calendar.google.com but have no idea if that is a viable option.
Any ideas in the remaining part of 2014?
