What would it take to build an interactive, real-time updated database modeled after iTunes that cataloged up to date activities of Actors? [on hold]

Expanding upon the question above...

1. Let's assume, all things being equal, that I was privy to all of the information -- meaning, I had all of the raw data and knew what every actor was doing. (i.e. filming, location, projects in talks, etc.). Yes, I know IMDB exists, this would be for agents/film studios. This would be used for scheduling, planning,

2. I know IMDB exists and I know IMDBPRo exists; I would like this database to resemble iTunes in its platform in the way that you could filter it, log the number of shooting days that actor undertook (the same way iTunes would log the number of plays)

3. Each actor would have a bio page, with their picture, bio, number of films, and related actors.

4. The most important thing on this page would be the option for agents/film studios to view where that actor was, who they were in talks with, if that actor was in contract, filming schedule

5. This database/platform would be shared and able to be accessed through a subscription service -- I would like to automate the process as much as possible, compromising the integrity of the data as little as possible (the Holy Grail, right?) it could be updated by authorized affiliates, but would prefer to do most of the updating in real-time.

Let's assume I have the funding to undertake this project and that there is a demand for it. I know that it is ambitious and I know that it would involve a massive amount of work.

Where would I start? Who would I hire? What language/platform would be best to build this in? How many people would I need to get this started? What types of people would I look for? Should I use a webcrawler? Should it be modeled after Wikipedia (user-driven)? I'm doing research on it now, but wanted to get some advice from people that were smarter than I am. Thanks!
