Looking for a good database of cities for website

I am not a programmer however I will forward this to my programmer friend. I am asking on behalf of him.

I am developing a website and I would like that website to have pages for every city in the world.

We currently have a database but it is not that good.

It displays City|Country.

I would love a real good database of cities like those found on websites like Badoo or Hotels.com. Something that includes regions, neighborhoods, airports etc.

Does anybody know where I can find something as detailed and useful as this?

It is important for that type of site I am creating that it has as detailed database of cities as possible.
