Chess program with NO ai

Just looking for a resource with people more familiar with programming than I am. I am working on developing a HUMAN chess ANALYSIS program (not a game). When I look online for resources, everything talks about developing an ai playing engine, which is NOT what I want to do. I haven't done any serious programming before (as in I have some experience in Swift and Cocoa, but I haven't published anything, just played around, and nothing that required moving graphical elements around - it was all text/numbers input&output) , but I'm just trying to help out a volunteer chess organization and there is no rush, so I thought I could take my time.

I'm not asking you to show me HOW to do these things, but just because it might help you point me to a good resource...

Platform: iOS

Mandatory: 1. It MUST NOT have any ai playing ability - all moves must be made by human input 2. It MUST allow infinite take backs and multiple take backs in a row to get to a previous position. 3. It MUST allow for the taking of Notes and export them to a text file.

Preferable: Almost a MUST - notation and the ability to export the notation to a text file. Peer to peer ability. If peer to peer is available, CHAT would be great, with the ability to export to a text file. The ability to recognize and forbid illegal moves (this is the least necessary).

Probably the main thing I need to pointed towards is how to develop the gui - since every interface I used before you just typed the input in preset fields and received output in preset fields and I have some experience in the other features (like notes). Like I said, I'm not wanting you all tell me how to do this, just point me towards some resources, thanks!
