So I'm learning programming / Swift / ios developing. On this course I'm doing the code in the attached picture is being used for making a simple calculator app. The variable named 'userIsInTheMiddleOfTypingANumber' is being used to correctly display the numbers being typed in so that they either go on the end or whatever.
My issue is how it works... the if statement essentially says 'if false { etc...'. Just makes no sense to me whatsoever. Help please!!
