How to select element through jquery selector?

I have three li tags in a ul.

for selecting the first li item, we can use $("#accordion li:first");

(accordion is the id of the ul tag)

for selecting the last li item,$("#accordion li:last");

How can i select the middle li tag element through jquery selector?
